Functional fitness is a way of training your body and muscles to help perform every day tasks.  With emphasizing core stability by using both lower and upper body muscles at the same time you build strength and endurance by simulating common movements.


Workouts include movements such as squatting, lifting (pushing and pulling) and reaching.  Often times kettlebells and weights are used.


Functional fitness involves multiple joints and muscles instead of targeting a specific body part.  In doing so, these exercises can make everyday activities easier and reduce your risk of injury.
